Notre Dame Beats Michigan in Rivalry Game

For the first time in ten years, Notre Dame has started the season 4-0. Even more sweet for the Fightin’ Irish is the fact that they beat Michigan on Saturday to get the victory. Commentators around the country are saying that Notre Dame’s comeback is for real, that the defense is particularly strong and that after many years of hype without accomplishment, the team may finally be poised to win some games.
Denard Robinson of Michigan, a quarterback who was originally thought to be a legitimate Heisman candidate, struggled again during the game. He had four picks and fumbled the ball in the Notre Dame Red Zone.
Robinson was not alone. There were 8 total turnovers in the game, which was a sloppy match from the beginning.
Michigan started the year as a Top Ten Team but has now lost to Auburn and Notre Dame. Robinson’s Heisman prospects are dwindling as are the team’s chances for a season that meets pre-season expectations. In contrast, with this victory, it is possible that Notre Dame will find its way into the Top Ten.
